Ingredients
1 kilogram of blackberries (ripe, black)
20 centiliters of water
700 grams of light cane sugar
Preparation
Step 1 : Wash the blackberries under cold water and place them in a bowl.
Step 2 : Add the water.
Step 3 : Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil and place the bowl with the blackberries and water on top.
Step 4 : Heat the mixture au bain-marie and wait until the fruit has released its juice.
Step 5 : Express the fruit and strain the juice through a colander.
Step 6 : Pour the juice into a small saucepan and add the sugar.
Step 7 : Stir with a wooden spoon.
Step 8 : Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat.
