Ingredients

2 large duck breasts

6 shallots

10 centiliters of balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon of honey

1 Salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the duck breasts, start by removing excess fat from the sides and making transverse cuts in the skin.

Step 2 : Next, season with salt and pepper.

Step 3 : In a large non-stick skillet preheated, place the breasts with the skin side down and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, basting the meat with the melted fat.

Step 4 : Then remove the breasts and pour off the excess fat, returning them to the skillet with the meat side down to continue cooking for about 5 more minutes.

Step 5 : It is important to remove them from the heat and keep them warm, wrapped in aluminum foil.

Step 6 : For the sauce, peel and chop the shallots, which are then sautéed in the same skillet for 5 minutes.

Step 7 : Deglaze with balsamic vinegar and scrape up the cooking juices from the bottom.

Step 8 : Then add the honey and bring to a boil for 1 minute.

Step 9 : Finally, slice the breasts, cover with the sauce, and serve with fresh pasta.
