Millefeuilles
Ingredients
400 grams of puff pastry
500 milligrams of milk
75 grams of flour
4 egg yolks
150 grams of sugar
50 grams of powdered sugar
1 vanilla bean
Preparation
Step 1 : Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring it to a boil along with the vanilla bean seeds.
Step 2 : In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar and add the flour.
Step 3 : Then, add the hot milk to this mixture.
Step 4 : Pass the resulting cream back into the saucepan, heat it gently, and stir constantly until it thickens.
Step 5 : Next, pour the cream into a bowl and let it cool.
Step 6 : Preheat the oven to th.7 (210°C) and roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
Step 7 : Cut 6 equal rectangles and place them on a non-stick baking tray, baking them for 25 minutes.
Step 8 : Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool before cutting each puff pastry into four pieces.
Step 9 : Assemble the millefeuille by layering puff pastry and cream, finishing with a layer of puff pastry and sprinkling with powdered sugar.
Step 10 : Finally, it is recommended to refrigerate the millefeuille until ready to serve.
